I am a multi-hyphenate artist working primarily in the realm of theater and dance. Art is my way of processing the world, and I strive to make work that uplifts community and inspires individual reflection. My work explores the healing and inspirational powers of joy and compassion as practices and I am interested in the relationship between of the contemporary human experience and codified techniques. I am also deeply connected to nature, and often explore aspects of nature as it is paralleled in humanity. I am an introvert, and detail oriented, and like to take the time to focus on the specific details of the physical and emotional storytelling in all that I do. One of the greatest strengths of the artistic forms I practice is the opportunity for creating community, and I strive to be an active and supportive member of each community I get to be a part of. 

 

As a choreographer and educator, I am interested in promoting discipline and rigor through positive encouragement, constructive criticism, and active listening. I aim to meet each student where they are at, and provide multiple ways of engaging with all of my material. I believe teachers create the examples students will come to embody, and I strive to create a culture in my classes of the culture I wish to see reflected in the broader artistic community; one that celebrates diversity, and promotes growth through positive encouragement and rigor.
